Start-up Africa: Unleashing the continent’s entrepreneurship potential

The 7th February 2017 was held the expert meeting co-organized by the E4Impact Foundation, ALTIS Graduate School of Business and Society and the OECD Development Centre at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan.

The event aimed to foster the cooperation among the organizations involved on lunching a joint research to investigate on the status of entrepreneurship in Africa. Professors, researchers and business experts brought their contribution to understand what steps should be taken to fulfil this goal.

The meeting moved from the studies OECD did to highlight the scenario of the start-ups in emerging and developing economies, considering the role of entrepreneurship for inclusive growth and the policies for start-ups launched in developing and emerging economies.

ALTIS followed, illustrating the E4Impact Research Initiative that aims at running high quality research on entrepreneurship and strategy for sustainable development in Africa, and E4Impact Foundation showed the concrete development of the E4Impact MBA program, now in 6 African Countries, expanding in 3 more by the end of 2017.

The meeting was just the first-step towards a cooperation that will be strategic in the field of entrepreneurship. Next appointment with OECD on these themes will be the African Economic Outlook 2017 that is going to be defined in these days as concern date and venue.
