Accelerator Program Uganda
The project replicates the Kenya Acceleration Model in Uganda through the remote acceleration of
a cohort of 15 Uganda small companies.
In a first phase, the management team was responsible for defining and adapting the model within the Ugandan context, and then proceed with the free provision of acceleration services to the best companies selected in the E4Impact MBA class in Uganda. For this last activity, the four sector experts working in the Nairobi Accelerator were directly involved, each one of them was responsible for a sector (agribusiness, ICT, textile and leather e green economy).
The training of the first identified figures, through special ToT sessions (“training of trainers”) held by their counterparts of the Accelerator in Kenya, with the aim of transmitting knowledge and skills necessary for the management of the Accelerator, was carried out remotely. As well as the provision of professional services, which was carried out using business service providers that already collaborate with the Kenyan Accelerator.
Once the participating companies were selected, a series of initial support services for their business growth was provided online, free of charge (in connection with the Kenyan Accelerator).
