EASY HOUSING CONCEPTS UGANDA LIMITED

Easy Housing is a circular, biobased, and climate-resilient building concept based on sustainably sourced timber. It focuses on urban and humanitarian markets and use localized value chains in areas where we have a presence. They envision a world where everyone has access to a safe, comfortable, and healthy home.

Major Achievements

  • Production capacity: 4-5 homes per month;
  • The entire construction process of one home takes only 4 months;
  • Has built over 30 homes;
  • International team of 22 people, of which 13 are women (59%), with team members from Uganda, Mozambique, Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe, and the Netherlands;
  • Operates in Mozambique, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda;
  • They have recently opened their first prefabrication factory in Kampala, Uganda;
  • Works with important local and international partners;
  • Among its Recognitions: MIT Solve Global Challenge “Climate: Ecosystems + Housing”, UpLink Top Innovator – Sustainable Forest Economy Challenge, Most Green and Sustainable Affordable Housing Development in Africa – African Union for Housing Finance (AUHF), Best Newcomer Award in Uganda – NUTIP (Netherlands Uganda Trade And Investment Platform), Breakthrough Initiative – Climate Smart Forest Economy Program (CSFEP).
