Major Achievements
- Capacity building: over 1,000 Women and Youth have benefited from our training programs;
- 500 women have benefited directly from our Table Banking initiative Read: Access to funding;
- Certified Professional Coach (ICF) and accredited member of Femwise Africa (Network of African Women in Conflict Prevention and Mediation);
- Positive change maker recognized by Ashoka EA;
- Signatory to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles;
- Member of Africa Women Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP);
- Facilitated mentorship for youth start-ups and financial inclusion and deepening amongst female SMEs from fund providers such as US State Government, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Goldman Sachs;
- In partnership with CorpsAfrica , Afriwomen Connect trained young people on how to successfully form and support CBOs at the communities in 4 counties – Narok, Kajiado, Kitui and Machakos;
- Top Female finalist in the 2017 E4Impact Business Innovation Challenge;
- Received various awards and recognitions including the 2019 Zuri Awards – Winner of Community Impact & Innovation and the 2020 DIAR Awards – National Diversity & Inclusion Champion.
