Our director, Mario Molteni, Full Professor of Business Administration and Corporate Strategy at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore  of Milan and director of ALTIS – Graduate School Business and Society has been nominated Ashoka Fellow, after a selection process of 8 months, by the African departments of Ashoka.

The fellowship was obtained thanks to professor Molteni’s contribution to the training of African entrepreneurs with a great social and environmental impact through the E4impact initiative.

«I’m glad to be part of the Ashoka world», claimed Mario Molteni, as soon as he received the great news of his fellowship. «Our MBA is currently offered in Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast and Uganda, but we intend to disseminate it in other African countries to create a strong pan-African alliance in support of impact entrepreneurship. In Africa there’s an extreme need. I’m sure Ashoka will be of great help in the fulfillment of this goal».

In 2012, the MBA obtained the Ashoka Innovation Award, becoming the first non-American program to receive a prize from Ashoka Foundation.

Tomorrow, Mario Molteni is presenting E4impact at Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2015 di Nairobi (Kenya) at the presence of the president of USA, Barack Obama. On the 2nd of October, the program will be presented at the official ceremony of Ashoka Fellowship, that will be held in Milan at Boheringer Ingelheim, Via Lorenzini 8.

Ashoka was founded by Bill Drayton in 1980 and has provided start-up financing, professional support services, and connections to a global network across the business and social sectors, and a platform for people dedicated to changing the world. Ashoka launched the field of social entrepreneurship and has activated multi-sector partners across the world, who increasingly look to entrepreneurial talent and new ideas to solve social problems.
