Blue and Green

BLUE & GREEN: Boosting Local authorities’ Understanding of coastal Economy & Growing Regenerative Enterprises in the Ecosystem Networks in Dakar and Kampala.

The project aims to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable in Dakar and Kampala, in order to promote social development of local communities, as a precondition for stable and peaceful societies.

The goal is to improve the services of urban utility through fostering managerial and organizational skills of Dakar and Kampala municipalities in the waste value chain and Blue Economy. The project also targets Ugandan MSMEs in the waste management and Blue Economy value chain (10 microenterprises) to enhance entrepreneurs’ contribution to the environmental issues linked to waste life cycle, urban and coast requalification and urban living conditions.

The project will benefit the whole citizenship of Dakar and Kampala and will strengthen the connection between local communities and Institutions.

Within the project, E4Impact is in charge of training ten officials of the municipalities on entrepreneurship promotion and on circular economy. Furthermore, the Foundation contributes to the achievement of the project objectives through the inclusion, within its MBA program in impact entrepreneurship in Kampala, of 10 entrepreneurs (divided into 2 years) operating in the circular economy sector. They will be eligible for the partial scholarships provided for in the project.
