Kenya Biogas Program – KBP
The Kenya Biogas Program (KBP) is the lead entity implementing the Africa Biogas Partnership Program in Kenya and is a constituent of the Africa Biogas Partnership Programme’s (ABPP), whose vision is to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals through the construction of biogas digesters as a local, renewable energy source.
KBP wants to build a commercially viable domestic biogas sector in order to provide food security, clean/sustainable use of energy and environmental conservation. The project aims also to allow Kenyan households accessing and utilizing green energy for their homes and green fertilizer for their farm.
Within the project, the role of E4Impact is to contribute to the creation of the Biogas Marketing Hub model (BMH), a marketing approach that aims at building effective marketing and business development structure for the biogas sector. Also, E4Impact is working to enhance the entrepreneurial capacities of the Biogas entrepreneurs so as to assure their scale up, their succession and long term sustainability and the improvement of their fundraising and engagement with investors.
The selected accelerated biogas entrepreneurs/enterprises will benefit from:
- The E4Impact Accelerator Package (Co–working space, collaboration and meeting with important investors, mentors and the Business Coaches, networking opportunities…)
- A training program (Business modelling and Strategy, Financial Modelling, Market Research…)
- Investors support and links, as well as pitch events to build strong relationships with investors.
