Thanking all candidates who took part in the selection process, we are publishing the provisional rankings for the AVSI civil service projects, pending validation by the Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service. Selected volunteers will be contacted by email for position acceptance. Expected start date and contract signing: September 18, 2026

Join E4Impact Foundation with the Servizio Civile!
The servizio civile is a voluntary choice to dedicate several months of one’s life to the service of the Nation through unarmed and non‑violent defense, education, peace among peoples, and the promotion of the founding values of the Italian Republic, carried out through actions for communities and local territories.
The Servizio Civile represents an important opportunity for training and for personal and professional growth for young people, who are an essential and vital resource for the cultural, social, and economic progress of the country.
The areas of intervention in Italy and abroad in which organizations propose projects involving volunteer operators include:
- assistance
- civil protection
- environmental heritage and urban regeneration
- historical, artistic, and cultural heritage
- education and cultural, landscape, environmental, sports, sustainable and social tourism promotion
- mountain-area agriculture, social agriculture, and biodiversity
- promotion of peace among peoples, nonviolence, and unarmed defense; promotion and protection of human rights; development cooperation
- promotion of Italian culture abroad and support to Italian communities abroad.
With Legislative Decree no. 40 of March 6, 2017, the Servizio Civile aims to welcome all applications from young people who, by voluntary choice, wish to undertake an experience of great civic and educational value—one that can also provide them with useful skills for entering the job market.
WHO CAN APPLY?
You can join the servizio civile if:

- you are between 18 and 28 years old (inclusive);
- you are an Italian citizen, a citizen of another European Union Member State, or a non-EU citizen legally residing in Italy;
- you have no criminal convictions in Italy or abroad;
- you are not a member of the military or police forces;
- you have not already completed, nor are currently undertaking, national or universal civil service.

OPEN POSITIONS
E4Impact Foundation is part of the Italian Civil Service program and is looking for motivated young people who want to make a difference in the training of African entrepreneurs.
For 2026, we have opened 4 positions between Italy and Africa (Kenya):
VOLUNTEER 1 – MBA & Alumni Office – Italy
Volunteer 1 (E4I, office code 224754) will support the MBA and Alumni office team in organizing and managing initiatives and activities aimed at supporting and engaging students and alumni — the entrepreneurs trained through the Foundation’s programs (MBA, Accelerators, Development Projects).
Main responsibilities:
- Supporting the planning and execution of in-person and online events (conferences, webinars, workshops, networking events), managing participation and logistics in line with the Foundation’s goals;
- Assisting in the supervision and coordination of digital platforms for monitoring and engaging Students and Alumni (WhatsApp groups, e-learning, databases, B2B tools);
- Supporting communication activities targeted to Students and Alumni;
- Collaborating with Alumni and local offices to identify high-potential entrepreneurial profiles to be featured on the Foundation’s online channels.
VOLUNTEER 2 – Admin and Reporting Office – Italy
Volunteer 2 (E4I, office code 224754) will work alongside the administrative department, especially in the areas of project administration and financial reporting.
Main responsibilities:
- Preparing Excel sheets for project expense tracking;
- Learning and applying E4I’s internal procedures regarding project management, financial reporting, and coordination with international offices;
- Reviewing procedures and reporting templates related to institutional donors: AICS, European Union, Local Authorities, other bilateral international cooperation entities;
- Drafting and reviewing financial reports;
- Inputting invoice data into the accounting system;
- Preparing supporting documentation for project reporting;
- Supporting E4I’s digital archiving system.
VOLUNTEER 3 – Projects & Communication Office – Italy
The Volunteer Operator 3 (E4I, site code 224754) will support both the Projects Office and the Communication Office of the organization, contributing to project development, monitoring activities, and the dissemination of the Foundation’s initiatives.
Within the Projects Office, the operator’s specific tasks will include:
- Pre‑project analysis, in collaboration with the Proposal Manager
- Researching funding opportunities for the E4Impact Foundation (with particular attention to Calls for Proposals and funding programs)
- Drafting project proposals, together with the Proposal Manager
- Monitoring project implementation, in collaboration with the Monitoring Manager
- Measuring project impact and supporting social reporting activities with the Impact Measurement Manager
Within the Communication Office, the operator’s specific tasks will include:
- Producing editorial and multimedia content for social media channels and the website
- Supporting the creation of graphics and visual materials for social media and institutional communication
- Translating and adapting interviews and multimedia content (IT/EN)
- Managing and updating official social media channels, including content scheduling

VOLUNTEER 4 – E4Impact Kenya Team Office
Volunteer 4 (E4I, office code 224759) will support the E4Impact Kenya team in planning, organizing, and managing a variety of activities.
Main responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining databases to support the implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of projects;
- Collaborating with local coordinators to assist with project writing and development;
- Building and maintaining positive and effective relationships with all stakeholders;
- Conducting research, analysing literature, and writing technical content and articles related to project development and planning;
- Producing technical inputs needed for project implementation;
- Participating in team and partner meetings, contributing to monitoring activities;
- Developing sustainable business models in collaboration with entrepreneurs;
- Supporting training and coaching workshops.
Key requirements:
- Ability to work independently and in a team; creativity in problem-solving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good computer skills, especially with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

ONLINE INFORMATION MEETINGS
We are planning two online orientation meetings for candidates:
- Wednesday, March 18 for SCU Abroad, starting at 14:30
- Friday, March 20 for SCU in Italy
from 14:30, in two sessions: AVSI and affiliated organizations in Milan and Rome
from 16:00, Fondazione Banco Alimentare
On the website https://www.avsi.org/servizio-civile an online form is available for registering for the Zoom meetings. Participants can join using the link they automatically receive after signing up. The meetings will be recorded and made available.
TIMELINE
- February 24 – April 8: submission of applications. A possible two‑week extension of the call may be granted.
- April 8 (unless extended) – July 7: candidate selection phase, which includes: evaluation of documentation, candidate interviews, preparation and submission of rankings to the Department by July 7.
- September 18: start of service for volunteers, with contract signing and general and specific training (this year, a new online training platform will be available).
