Roy Coffee Processors & Exporters Limited seeks to have the youths (young men and women, largely unemployed) work hand in hand with smallholder coffee farmers based in upcountry farms and farmer cooperatives to achieve best practices in post-harvest handling to ensure the best of quality.

Major Achievements
- Founded in 2019, Roy Coffee produced its first product in December of the same year.
- Launched two product lines under the Roy Coffee brand: roasted Arabica beans, and roasted & ground coffee (in 125 g and 250 g packs).
- Built a customer base of more than 100 customers within ~1.5 years of operation.
- Established direct sourcing from smallholder coffee farmers in Kanungu (western Uganda) and implemented quality assurance practices (raised drying platforms, post-harvest handling) to improve quality.
- Set up a youth-led operational model: company started with three youths and grew to seven working in the business (as of 2021).
- Created a community outreach and training initiative (via “The Circle Club” under the National Christian Students Association) to train youth in value-chain participation (coffee growing, processing, etc).
- Wrote public commentary on value-addition of by-products in coffee (e.g., opportunity in briquettes from coffee husks) and youth entrepreneurship.
Featured as a youth entrepreneur in the coffee sector in Ugandan business media (e.g., Business Focus, Campus Bee).
