On May 14, 2026, during the Sustainable Economy Forum, space designed for dialogue and exchange among institutions, businesses, the scientific community, and civil society, promoted by Community of San Patrignano and Confindustria, E4Impact Foundation awarded the Gian Marco Moratti Award 2026.
Established in memory of the Italian entrepreneur Gian Marco Moratti, the award is dedicated to the African Alumni of the Foundation and aims to celebrate the commitment that Dr. Moratti has always shown in supporting young people, supporting those who wished to start entrepreneurial activities to create impact in their communities.
The Gian Marco Moratti Award fully reflects E4Impact’s mission: to foster the launch and development of new businesses in Africa. The award is also an opportunity to highlight the role of the Foundation’s African entrepreneurs in promoting sustainable development on the continent.

This year, the seventh edition of the award aimed to celebrate African impact entrepreneurs with a proven track record, demonstrable knowledge of their market, and the desire to access the financing necessary to fuel future growth.
The jury of experts received many high‑level applications, from which they first selected the five finalists and then the two winners, evaluating the impact, economic sustainability, and growth potential of the proposals submitted.
During the forum, Frank Cinque, E4Impact Foundation New Business Development Director, announced the two winners, who will receive a cash prize to support the development of their businesses: Bright Vandyke Okyere from Ghana and Jane Ndiritu from Kenya.
Bright Vandyke Okyere is the Founder of Anidaso Eye Centre (AEC), a social health enterprise that provides high-quality, affordable, and accessible eye care in rural communities.

His company addresses a critical gap in access to quality eye care across Ghana, where thousands of people particularly children and low-income populations live with preventable visual impairment due to limited access, affordability, and awareness.
AEC applies Anidaso Triangle Model (Cost–Quality–Accessibility), which ensures that services remain both impactful and financially sustainable. The centre operates through a hybrid model. Its rural base is responsible for conducting monthly outreaches in underserved communities, and providing school-based eye screenings. These are complemented by an urban branch in Kumasi, established to generate revenue that subsidizes both rural and school-based services.
Dr. Bright and his team have provided eye care services to over 50,000 people, dispensed more than 5,000 spectacles, and screened thousands of school children. The Eye Centre also integrates technology through the HUNU mobile health application, which enables teachers and primary healthcare workers to conduct basic screenings and refer patients digitally, significantly expanding reach and efficiency.

The other winner is Jane Ndiritu, Co-founder and CEO of Dheiton Ventures Limited (DLV), a Kenyan social enterprise that leverages a smallholder poultry farmers’ out‑grower model to deliver farm‑to‑fork solutions across the poultry value chain.
Jane introduced Kenya’s first scalable pasteurised egg processing line serving both domestic and humanitarian markets; reducing waste through circular‑economy practices; shortening the route‑to‑market via local processing and import substitution; and ensuring full traceability through digital tools and a vertically integrated social enterprise model.
DVL operates a semi‑automated batch processing plant and is preparing to install a cutting‑edge, fully automated facility for the production of safe, high‑quality pasteurised liquid egg products. The complete processing line integrates advanced equipment and automation to optimise efficiency, reduce manual handling, and ensure rigorous food safety standards.

The Gian Marco Moratti Award represents a unique opportunity to highlight the commitment of African entrepreneurs in promoting virtuous, impactful, and sustainable development. In addition to international visibility and privileged access to potential partnerships with Italian companies, Bright and Jane each received a prize of €3,000.
We asked them how they felt upon learning of their victory, and here is their response:
