BIC – Business Incubation Communities
The overall objective of BIC Ethiopia is to support agri-tech start-ups and agri-business enterprises to improve market access, generate higher income and create jobs.
The action has two specific objectives:
- To support high potential start-ups with an innovative business model addressing market needs and potentials in terms of job creation and income generation
- To enhance agri-enterprises’ ability to unlock their potentials by delivering necessary tools to enable business growth along different stages of maturity
The overall Program of BIC Ethiopia (co-funded by the EU) aims to address bottlenecks in the Ethiopian entrepreneurial ecosystem. To this end, the project works with selected existing and newly established incubators and supports them to develop sustainable and technically sound business models. The incubators (like the one implemented by E4Impact in Addis Ababa) are thus enabled to better support start-ups and MSMEs in the field of agricultural technology and agribusiness in order to improve market access, generate higher incomes and create jobs.
Within the project, E4Impact will carry on:
- the Starter Programme (pre-incubation) – 5 days Training
- the Catalyser Programme (Incubation) – 12 days Training.
