UltraFashion – Show your Talent in Italy!
The initiative “UltraFashion – Show your Talent in Italy!” provides both classroom and customized training and mentoring from professional fashion and business experts to Ethiopian designers in the apparel, accessory and textile sectors. This training is coupled with a unique, firsthand cultural exposure to the Italian Fashion System and an opportunity to participate in one of the Fashion world’s most important events.
Program features
The program is designed for Ethiopian designers and fashion entrepreneurs. It will include:
- 2 weeks of Fashion Entrepreneurship training in Addis Abeba: October 21 to November 4, 2024
- On-line and in person mentoring for fashion project preparation
- 2 weeks of exposure to Italian Fashion in Milan (Italy) for the best 10 fashion projects: Spring 2025
- On-line mentoring for the preparation of a mini-collection
- Presentation of the best 5 collections at the Milan Fashion Week: Fall 2025

About the project
UltraFashion is part of the project “Support to youth and women through products and services development and Public and Private Partnerships” which assists the Government of Ethiopia (GoE) in providing high quality technical services to Ethiopian youth and women to improve design skills, promote innovative products and mindsets, facilitate start-up development and public-private partnership (PPP) engagements.
