Our CEO, Mario Molteni has just got back from Kampala, Uganda, where he spent a whole week with Ashoka staff and fellows to celebrate the Ashoka Changemaker week.
Prof. Molteni has been selected by Ashoka: Innovators for the Public as a member of its global fellowship of leading social entrepreneurs.
At the gathering called “Changemaker Summit” on the 5th December 2015, at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala, Ashoka formally recognized Mario for his many years of work innovating in the field of Education. He now joins 81 other Ashoka Fellows from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda elected since 2001 and more than 3,000 Ashoka Fellows globally.
Mario is being recognized by Ashoka for his entrepreneurial leadership skills. “He set the stage for Higher Education transformation in Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Ivory Coast and Europe.” they explained “Through his organization, E4Impact, his approach is informing higher education response to a transformational learning experience through his ALTIS model while placing entrepreneurship at the heart of sustainable economies especially in developing countries”.
“Social entrepreneurs are not content just to give a fish, or teach how to fish. They will not rest until they have revolutionized the fishing industry” said Bill Drayton , CEO and founder of Ashoka and and we can affirm that Mario, with E4impact, started very well this “revolution”.
