Launched by Confindustria and San Patrignano for the first time in 2018, the Sustainable Economy Forum is an international event where participants can exchange experiences with entrepreneurs, economists, policy-makers, social actors, intellectuals and researchers. Dialogues are aimed at offering long-term solutions to the most pressing global issues.
With over 60 Italian and international speakers of the highest level, about 500 participants in two days and a great media coverage, the Forum 2018 has achieved success beyond expectations. The Sustainable Economy Forum 2019 (4-5 April 2019) has aimed to deepen the dialogue so effectively initiated, starting from the joint work project presented by Confindustria, San Patrignano at the closing of the previous edition.
This year E4Impact has been partner of the event, as promoter of the project “Together for Africa”, launched in 2018 in collaboration with Confindustria, San Patrignano Foundation and ITC (International Trade Center of the United Nations).
The three axes of the “Together for Africa” platform – private-private partnership for co-development, inclusion and development of impact finance instruments –have been the guidelines around which the debates have developed, aimed at deepening the themes of sustainability and responsibility in their practical variations.
In this perspective and maintaining particular attention on the African continent, interlocutors with different backgrounds, profiles and experiences have dealt with key topics both for today’s world and future generations such as social finance, digital transformation, renewable energies, the agro-food chain, innovation and many more.
