Five agritech startups were awarded on Friday 21st November 2025 in Nairobi at the end of the third edition of the Kenya Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program (KAEP), the entrepreneurial development program supported by Eni Natural Energies (ENI) Kenya and Joule, Eni’s business school, in collaboration with the E4Impact Foundation.
During the closing event, the ten finalists presented their solutions to a jury of investors, mentors, and agritech stakeholders. The five most promising projects were selected for their scalability and impact potential and received a €10,000 prize.

The KAEP program is a pioneering initiative at the intersection of agriculture and cutting-edge technology, designed to catalyze entrepreneurs aiming to transform the agricultural sector through innovation and precision.
It supports Track 1 early-stage agribusinesses in validating ideas, developing prototypes, and gaining mentorship for market readiness, while Track 2 growth-stage agribusinesses are empowered to scale operations, expand markets, and access investment opportunities for accelerated growth.
These are the startups awarded for their innovative projects:
- IVIANI FARM: a company that partners with farmers in the fruit and vegetable value chain, applying waste-to-energy technologies to enhance village-level production and extend the shelf life of products.
- AGRIBORA: an agri-fintech enterprise that integrates digital tools, financial services, and market access to support smallholder farmers and rural merchants.
- MAGGY’S KIENYEJI LTD: a company that reduces post-harvest losses by sustainably drying and packaging indigenous vegetables for local and international markets.
- BEE HAPPY ENTERPRISES: a company specialized in the production of honey and honey-based products, leveraging IoT systems that enable precision beekeeping through remote monitoring and management.
- DROFARMER SERVICES: a company that combines AI technologies and drones to support smallholder farmers, integrating agrotechnology, financial tools, and sustainable practices to provide data-driven assistance.

“We are very pleased with our collaboration with Eni in Kenya,” emphasizes Mario Molteni, CEO of E4Impact. “Together, we have been able to cultivate an entrepreneurial ecosystem where innovation and sustainability lay the foundation for truly shaping the future. By supporting businesses operating in regenerative agriculture and the circular economy and contributing to the development of agritech value chains, we are contributing,” concludes Molteni, “to inclusive and environmentally friendly economic growth. Through a partnership like the one between Eni and E4Impact, we can pursue important economic and social justice goals.”
“Through this initiative, we have seen firsthand the talent and determination of young entrepreneurs, capable not only of innovating but of significantly transforming the local area. By supporting their projects, we are making a concrete contribution to the sustainable development of the country’s agricultural sector, impacting the socioeconomic fabric and strengthening Eni’s entire agribusiness value chain, creating a virtuous bridge between startups and businesses,” said Daniela Morra, Managing Director of Eni Kenya.

Since its launch in 2023, the incubation and acceleration program has expanded its scope, supporting several entrepreneurial ventures through to the contractual phase with Eni. To date, over 300 innovative projects have been submitted and 30 startups have been accelerated across the program’s three editions, generating a social return on investment of 1.3: every euro invested has generated 1.3 euros of value for local communities.
